Hélène Breton

Hélène Breton grew up in the St.-Jean-Baptiste area of Québec City and attended the École des Beaux-arts during her childhood and adolescence. Later, she participated in many painting workshops in the region and has experimented with different medium over the years.

For more than twenty years, she has intensively pursued her artistic process by taking part in numerous symposiums, workshops, artist collectives, and solo expositions in which the originality of her paintings is always noticed. In 2003, she was asked to sit on the jury for the Beaumont Symposium, and she also had a solo exhibition at the Maison Blanchette Art Centre in Cap-Rouge.

A multi-talented artist, Hélène Breton is particularly fond of landscape oil painting, portraits and still-life in pastels, sculpture, and live model sketching. She is a member of several artist associations and today her work can be found in many art collections in Québec, Canada, and the United States.
